Patching up a storm and getting mount happy

Hello all,
We finally got another WoW parody together that will be on the most recent Ctrl Alt WoW podcast (which recorded earlier this morning). It is a parody of The Music Man song, "My White Knight" in honor of me finishing my role as Marian the Librarian in the production of The Music Man this summer. We did the song also from the stand point of my undead warlock, which I am convinced would have a HUGE crush on Koltira. Deathweaver (while doing his quests, she would always auto make these funny animations when standing next to him, so I am convinced that my toon just really liked him. haha) Now that we're well done with the show, we thought it was time to do a parody of the song, as it has been in the back of our minds for a while.
Well, among stuff in WoW land, we've been mostly leveling up our Death Knight/Disc Priest duo in dungeons and loving it (for the most part). Wren has been in overdrive mode playing his Alliance Rogue (his goal is to get all his Alliance toons as close to 85 as he can before Mists drops) as well as getting mounts galore. He has a lot more than me, so he easily got the 100 mount achievement when the newest patch came out.

I also have been leveling up a goblin shaman, after re-rolling a lowbie orc shaman I had. I just really fell in love with the goblins totems while doing dungeons with a few goblin shamans, that I just bit the bullet and deleted my lowbie level 10 orc shaman to play a goblin shaman. Right now I got her up to (I think) 13. I do love certain parts of the goblin lowbie quest experience, most of which are when you get to the one island.

(My FAVORITE part of this quest line)

(Doesn't my goblin look awesome on a cat? hehe)

Wren managed to score this week a Vial of Sands (now granted, robbed his alts poor to do it) after making a deal with an auction guy (he offered to pay a dropped price if the guy sold it to him not on the auction house- therefore the guy wouldn't have to pay the auction fees). So he is super happy about that.
Last week Wren also cranked out making two Mekgineer's choppers- one for him, one for me (which I am slowly paying him the gold back for). My rogue, Alliance side, is now a bad-ass night elf on a motorcycle with 2 beer steins and an eye-patch. haha

Other than the above, I've been enjoying time at the Darkmoon Faire (as I usually do enjoy it) and finally had enough tickets to get me a Darkmoon strider. Hooray!
So all in all, lots of leveling and lots of trying to get mounts all over the place!
Happy gaming, and once the link for the newest podcast of Ctrl Alt WoW comes out, I'll add it to our parody song list!
Laters all!

Pinkie joins the family

Decided to take a minor break from my warlock, but decided to beg Wren to play his goblin warrior with my goblin mage Icybellina. We wandered out to Desolace, where we did a whole lot of quests I have never done (I guess I never went to Desolace as horde, a lot more quests here than alliance). Found however that a huge chunk of the quests were gather quests and we struggled to keep together out there without stealing each other's quest items. But it was nice to have the questing company either way. I got my mage to 34.

Later in the week I decided to hop on my Tauren Hunter- Striderunner, (and her plainstrider named Chickie) a little bit and got her to level 13 (as of today). It is surprisingly very calming to go out to the low levels and shoot things. Was nice, since she was a skinner, that there was so many kill quests, as it was plenty to skin. There was a cool tauren warrior I came across, who obviously didn't skin, and left me LOADS of bodies to skin. Hehe

I killed Mazzranache (actually twice) and after the 2nd time of running into him and killing him, I was positive he would be the first pet I go out to tame. (Which I just did earlier this morning- tame him) I have decided I”m going to go with a purple/pink “theme” to my pets on this hunter, being Mazz is bright pink and all, and I love theming out my hunter pets. (I know, I'm one of those crazy ocd people). I think it would be hilarious to see this hulking tauren with super psychedelic bright pink or bright purple pets. Hehe. I did feel bad for leaving Mazz's 4 babies behind as orphans, but he'll respawn in no time. Lol- I'd love a baby of his to be a companion pet though.

 (Killing Mazz the first time)

(killing Mazz second time)

(Training Mazz to be my new pet- Pinkie)

Also came across “The Rake” rare spawn- lion while out questing around the Golden Plains. (This toon has been finding the rare spawns so easily, compared to other toons of mine!) Looking forward to getting more into playing her, as I haven't played a hunter in ages (my dwarf hunter sits at 85 waiting to be touched, but since I got her there, I haven't played her, and pretty much forgot how to play a hunter. So it was nice to play a lowbie to get the feel for it again.) I decided to make Striderunner a marksman when I hit lvl 10, because nothings scarier than a tauren with a gun. :D

(The crap-ton of stuff you get when you hit level 10)

 (killing The Rake)

Other than that, didn't play much more than that. I plan to do the Children's week quests so I can get the turtle pet for my turtle-loving dwarf hunter (after remembering about her) and get some of the other companion pets for my other toons (my nightelf rogue Nokomis most of them, but the more “gruesome ones” I plan to get for Shadowsleep).

 (killing more rares)

 (I love his dual totems!)

(Great mini battle as a lowbie Tauren to witness)

(I love this quest line. I can't remember, do we ever see Subject nine later?)

We also put up a new video for our parody of “At Last” this week. I apologize, it is only boring screenshots that I had in my screenshot folder and doesn't really match the subject material of the song mixed with the music, but I was determined to get something online quickly, as I felt bad for not having more youtube videos of the songs. I really wish I had the skills and programs for machinama. I havn't done much animation in over 6 years (and then it was not 3d animation since 8 years ago- no longer have the programs anymore *tear*) Looking into new ways of having the songs out there- maybe make some way to download them???

Also, sorry we didn't get a new parody together this week- I had theater board and work restrictions this week, took up all my time. (and wren is still working on they lyrics) Funny thing about “The Grind” in the works parody: I had to kind of listen to the song The Climb on repeat, since I wasn't very familiar with it, so I could get the tune in my head- making the parody easier. :D , so now all I hear is that song when I wake up every morning. lol
But in case you missed it, Wren and I were both guest hosts on Ctrl Alt WoW, chatting along with Aprillian, Tedrah, Ashayo and other guest Gufoni so check it out here: http://www.ctrlaltwow.blogspot.com/2012/04/ctrl-alt-wow-episode-266.html
I apologize if I sound a little delayed at times. Wren and I were sharing a microphone and he got the headphones that plugged into it and I listened in on headphones on my laptop. So there was a constant delay between what I was hearing and what I was saying. Really distracting actually, so if you ever have to do podcasts that way, I'd suggest against it- I had such a hard time talking when I kept hearing your voice echo back to you.
Anyways, have a great week in WoW!

Pandas galore!

So, all the information and the first beta keys have hit the blogosphere, and already Wren and I are drooling and checking non-stop in hopes of getting a beta key to try out the new WoW Mists of Panderia. As I type, we are watching Jesse Cox and WoWcrendor's 2+ hour video of the panda starting zone. So beautiful. I love the elemental little guys and the giant turtle island. So cool!
A while back I signed the "I'll play WoW for a year" thing to get the cool mount, Diablo III and beta, etc. stuff. So every couple hours we keep checking in hopes for a beta. Sadly, I still haven't gotten it, but I'm sure I will eventually. In the meantime I'll just keep drooling.
There is so many cool things coming out in Mists, that I don't even know where to start.  Warlocks getting changed, area looting, instance boss loot change, pandas, new mounts, ungraded skins and so many other great stuff. I just can't wait for it all to go live!
Anyways, in current WoW land, I've been playing my Hordlings a lot more recently, and neglecting my Alliance toons. Its fun to try a re-done area as Horde, as to be honest, I never got a Horde character very far except my Shadow Priest (but she was so long ago, I barely remember anything from then).
I'm still playing my undead warlock Shadowsleep a little bit at a time. Right now I've head to Arathi. I really enjoy this section, as I never did it as horde. So very troll-like and fun when you hang out on the beach, hehe. :D
Sadly as of right now I don't have any new screenshots of my WoW playing, as I haven't really played a whole lot this week thus far because I've been doing a few DIY projects around the house, working like a crazy person at my paying job, and overall just being lazy and not doing much of anything than reading the Hunger Games on my iphone's ibook and watching videos on the new Mists of Panderia.
These screen shots are from a week ago, but I thought I'd share them with ya'll. :D

(me and the boys before they betrayed me and Sylvanas- and my Hathtast- he's my beloved void walker at this point)

(This guy is super weird looking)

(This guy is crazy, though I would love an ability to make a purple/blue orb around me and fly in the sky like him, lol)

(Me and Jenny Awesome and peps...before we kicked this guy's butt)

So yea, like I mentioned in my letter to Ctrl Alt WoW's episode 260, I really enjoyed the Welcome to the Machine quest lines. So funny. hehe. And can I just mention I LOVE my undead's hair. hehe
So really, these screenshots are more about what I mentioned to Ctrl Alt WoW earlier in the week here.
Anyways, maybe I can convince Wren to do a little blogging on here, since we are slacking in the video department (sorry guys, we are trying to figure out the whole machinama basics and failing epicly), and I'm slacking in designing a decent blog header for Life's a Game. lol
So, back to WoW playing and drooling over pandas I go.
Happy alting all and Game on!
